WHAT IS CRIME STOPPERS?
CRIME STOPPERS is a non-profit program relying on cooperation between law enforcement, news media and citizens in the fight against crime. Crime Stoppers may pay cash rewards of up to $2,000 for information pertaining to any crime which leads to the identity or arrest of individuals involved. Calls or submissions are not traced or recorded and callers do not have to identify themselves. Crime Stoppers encourages people to submit anonymous information to solve crimes already committed, or those about to be committed. Tipsters regularly report on simple crimes such as traffic offences, theft and insurance fraud to more serious crimes such as murder, drug offences and property crimes.
