Souls Harbour Rescue Mission

The Regina & Region Home Builders' Association was proud to donate $1 from each 2009 Spring Home Show opening day ticket sale to the Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.

Executive Director Stu Niebergall of the RRHBA presented the $5000 donation on May 1st at Souls Harbour fundraising event Music with a Mission.

"We are very thankful to Souls Harbour for caring so much about a community in the heart of our City," Niebergall told the audience who had come out to support the organization and enjoy the evening's entertainment.

RRHBA is a strong advocate of initiatives that help the citizens of our community enjoy affordable housing and encourages all levels of government to work diligently to ensure the citizens of Regina have proper shelter.

"When the public thinks of the Regina & Region Home Builders' Association, they tend to think of new development on the edges of our community," says Niebergall.  "However, the majority of our member businesses are working in most neighbourhoods of Regina and surrond region."

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission services the poor, hungry, addicted, homeless, and needy in Regina and the surrounding area.  Readers can find out more about its work by visiting their website at www.soulsharbourrescuemission.org

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission is an inner city charity that exists to rescue people from poverty, addiction, and sin by providing emergency help such as food, clothing, and shelter, life changing discipleship programs and the Gospel Message.

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission provides a full continuum of care for the least, the last and the lost. For those on the streets we serve meals at our soup kitchen, hand out free clothing at the clothing store , and provide a free place to sleep at our emergency shelter. Those seeking more long-term help can join our LifeChange Recovery Program, a year-long program for men and women with life-controlling problems and addicitions. And for those seeking a healthy, supportive community, we have an inner city church as well as low-income housing.

We are on a Rescue Mission to bring homeless, addicted and hurting people into a Souls Harbour of love, faith and a new life.
