Downtown Residential Tax Incentive Program

The Downtown Residential Tax Incentive Program (DRIP) provides a tax exemption for a maximum of 5 years for new residential condominium and rental projects. Deadlines are listed in the application package/form. www.regina.ca/Page1992.aspx

  

Regina Housing Incentives Program - Warehouse District

The Regina Housing Incentives Program - Warehouse District (RHIP) provides a tax exemption of up to $7500 over 5 years for new residential construction and the conversion of surplus commercial space in Regina's Old Warehouse District to residential units. Individual unit owners may apply. Alternatively, developers may apply for an exemption on several units at once or for a whole phase of construction.  www.regina.ca/Page1991.aspx

 

Heritage Property Tax Incentive Program

The City of Regina provides one-time financial assistance to restore or preserve designated heritage properties. A tax exemption may be granted to a maximum value equivalent to: 50% of eligible work cost; or  $150,000 ($250,000 in the downtown); or the total property taxes payable over 5 years (8 in the downtown); whichever is the least.  Direct municipal grants are also available for tax-exempt properties based on the same tax exemption formula; however, these grants are limited to a maximum value of $25,000. www.regina.ca/Page1990.aspx
