In 1960, JELD-WEN® was a small Oregon millwork plant with 15 employees. During those early days, the company established a culture based on inspired vision, thoughtful planning, and diligent craftsmanship. This culture has helped us become a well-respected company with over 150 divisions and more than 20,000 employees worldwide. By bringing the companies of Willmar Windows, United Windows, DF Windows and Millwork Distribution into the family, JELD-WEN has extended its corporate culture and philosophy to Canada.

In 1996, JELD-WEN acquired the first of the Canadian operations. It was at this time that JELD-WEN of Canada was founded.

In 2003, JELD-WEN consolidated its 27 brands under a single product identity, making it one of the largest manufacturers of windows and doors, with plants spread around the world. JELD-WEN has locations internationally in 22 countries. These operations include manufacturing facilities, distribution and design centres.

The new Schlage SecureKey Technology is in a new cylinder that allows you to re-key the lock in seconds - without removing it from the door. This ANSI Grade 1, BHMA certified cylinder is bump and pick resistant, offering top-notch security with the flexibility to quickly and easily re-key your locks to the same key.

The unique blue Reset Key is what makes SecureKey Technology different from other re-keyable systems. This Reset Key allows the user to securely put the cylinder into re-keying mode, and quickly reset the cylinder to match a new or existing Schlage key using a new blue Reset Key.

High-Security Cylinder
With SecureKey Technology, only a unique Reset Key can be used to re-key the cylinder - the lock cannot enter the re-key mode with generic tools or foreign objects. Unlike other re-keyable cylinders on the market, the home is still secure even when the lock is in re-key mode. And with 10x the possibilities of keycuts, SecureKey cylinders enable 10 times greater number of key-cut combinations, reducing the chance of someone else's key opening your door. The new ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 cylinder meets UL437.1 guidelines and is resistant to bumping and picking.

Convenience
SecureKey cylinders are easily identified by a plus sign on the face of the cylinder on deadbolts, knobs, and levers. The cylinder can be keyed to standard pin and tumbler key cuts, eliminating the need for pinning supplies and re-key kits. Locks can easily be re-keyed in the field without removing the lock from the door.
