RRHBA Scholarship

The Regina & Region Home Builders' Association has chosen to invest in the future of Saskatchewan’s youth.  Supporting the SIAST Student Awards Program provides not only the means for Saskatchewan’s best and brightest to pursue their dreams, but also recognizes and rewards their achievement and determination.

SIAST’s most recent graduate employment survey indicated that of those graduates who responded, 97% were employed within six months of graduating…of those, 92% were employed here, at home, in Saskatchewan!  It is the support and encouragement of donors that make this kind of success possible.

A few of the students have written testimonials about the importance of receiving the Regina & Region Home Builders' Association Awards:

“Being the recipient of this award means a lot.  Trades are very unfamiliar territory for me and it was a bold move to enroll in the Carpentry program.  Though it has been a steep learning curve, I am very glad I made the decision I did.  I plan to further my education in Architectural and Building studies.  I feel very blessed to be living in a culture that recognizes women pursuing untraditional professions in a positive way.”

Erin Case, Palliser Campus

“I am extremely grateful to the Association for granting me this award.  It will allow me to pursue further education in the fields of LEED and Contract Administration through Construction Specifications Canada as well as courses internationally.  Thanks so much!”

Kaitlyn Hope, Palliser Campus

“I am very pleased to receive this award.  It will be greatly beneficial to my academic and financial viability in regards to my course.  Thank you.”

Julian Levy, Wascana Campus

“I am greatly appreciative to have won this award.  It will help me in achieving my career goals.  I have always enjoyed building things and working with my hands.  It has been a great experience so far to expand my knowledge.  I am looking forward to learning more.”
